Once you have registered for UNCMUNC XVI, you will receive an invoice from Sunhee Frecker, who serves as the Director of Delegate Affairs. Your invoice will contain information on how to submit payment for your fees.

Please note that your delegation deposit is non-refundable, meaning that once you register, you agree to pay this deposit. Delegate and advisor fees can be refunded in accordance with the delegation reduction policy, which is outlined below. Please be aware that delegation deposits will not be waived or returned.

If a delegation initially registered and completed their payment during the May sale period but elects to add more delegates after that period has elapsed, they will be allowed to pay the discounted registration price, regardless of when they choose to add the additional delegates.

All registration fees must be sent by October 1st at 11:59 p.m. ET

Financial Aid Program

Inspired by UNCMUNC’s commitment to accessibility, we are excited to continue our Financial Aid Program for the SECOND time!

Delegates and individual delegates can dictate on their Registration Application if they would like to be considered for financial aid. After filling out the Registration Applications, delegations will be sent a follow-up email from a member of Secretariat with the Financial Aid Application attached.

Financial aid will be given in the form of reimbursements and can be requested for conference fees, travel costs, lodging costs, or other miscellaneous costs.

Applicants are encouraged to fill out the form as soon as possible, but applications will NOT be reviewed on a rolling basis. An application’s submission date does not affect its outcome so long as it is received before the deadline.

Applications are due on June 30th at 11:59 PM EST, the last day of early registration. Applicants will receive an update on the status of their application by September 24 at 11:59 PM EST.

Before applying, prospective applicants should read through the Terms and Conditions of the financial aid program.


Delegation Size Classification

Delegations are classified into two categories based on their size, namely small and large. A small delegation is composed of 1 to 11 Delegates, while a large delegation consists of 12 or more Delegates. To be eligible for delegation-weighted awards, delegations must bring at least 6 delegates.

Additionally, UNCMUNC XVI welcomes independent solo delegates who will also be considered for individual awards.


Delegation Reduction Policy

If you decide to reduce your delegation size after registration, please email uncmunc@gmail.com as soon as possible.

We are welcome to accommodate your reduction request as long as it meets the following requirements:

  • The reduction will not withdraw more than 50% of your total delegates. For example, if your delegation has 16 delegates, you will still have at least 8 after your reduction request.

  • Your delegation will have at least 6 total delegates after its reduction.

Withdrawal Policy

Delegations may only withdraw from the conference entirely if they have a valid reason, which the Secretariat will evaluate and approve. Please email uncmunc@gmail.com immediately if you need to withdraw, along with any supporting documentation.

If the Secretariat considers the withdrawal amicable, you will be eligible for a refund of your delegate fees.

If a withdrawal refund request is not approved, we may offer a delegation reduction as an alternative option. If necessary, refer to our Delegation Reduction policy.

In either case, any eligible fees will be refunded as follows:

Before June 30: No Fees

Before July 30: 75% Refund

Before August 15: 50% Refund

Before September 24: 25% Refund

After September 24: NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REFUND
