The Carolina International Relations Association 〰️
The Carolina International Relations Association (CIRA) is a student-run organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill dedicated to promoting global awareness, international cooperation, and intercultural understanding. CIRA is devoted to fostering critical thought, discussion, and debate on current international issues, stimulating creative and effective responses to them, and developing the analytical, communicational, and team building skills of its members and the broader university community.
Some of CIRA's signature events include two annual Model United Nations conferences: UNCMUNC, one of the largest and most prestigious Model United Nations conferences in the Southeast region of the United States, bringing together hundreds of college students from across the country to simulate the workings of the United Nations, and MUNCH, our high school conference that serves to be an important platform for students to engage with global issues, develop their skills, and build meaningful connections with fellow participants.
