Oversight (DEI) Reports

If you have experienced or witnessed any form of misconduct, including but not limited to sexual harassment, discrimination, inappropriate behavior, or violations of conference policies such as prewriting or plagiarism, we encourage you to submit an oversight report. This confidential form allows you to report incidents of misconduct and request appropriate action.

Your report will be taken seriously and handled with care by the UNCMUNC XV Conference Directors.

We value your feedback and want to hear about your experience at the conference. Use this form to share thoughts on committee sessions, logistics, Secretariat support, or any suggestions for improvement.

What to report: Committee experience, logistics, Secretariat support, technology, and suggestions for improvement.

What NOT to report: Misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or policy violations. Please use the specific misconduct form for these issues. If this is the case, please use the OVERSIGHT/DEI REPORTING FORM.

UNCMUNC XV Awards Policy

The primary goal of UNCMUNC XV is to provide an inclusive and uplifting educational experience for all delegates, emphasizing collaboration and diplomacy. Delegates are awarded based on exceptional performance in three categories:

Contributions: Exceptional delegates contribute both verbally and in writing, grounded in thorough research and a nuanced understanding of committee topics, goals, and UN functions. Their contributions shape the committee's direction and guide others toward deeper investigations and new partnerships.

Collaboration: Exceptional delegates build consensus, pursue diverse partnerships, and facilitate critical communication. They display a supportive, constructive attitude, strong listening skills, and build upon others' ideas.

Leadership: Exceptional delegates unify their contributions and collaborations, pioneering solutions that incorporate diverse perspectives and include less vocal delegates. They push the committee forward, inspiring others and fostering unity and respect.

Award Distribution:

  • GA: 1 Best Delegate, 1 Outstanding Delegate, 2 Honorable Delegates, 2 Distinct Delegates.

  • GAP: 1 Best Delegate, 1 Outstanding Delegate, 1 Honorable Delegate, 2 Distinct Delegates.

  • Crisis: 1 Best Delegate, 1 Outstanding Delegate, 1 Honorable Delegate, 1 Distinct Delegate.

Point System:

  • 5 = Best Delegate

  • 4 = Outstanding Delegate

  • 3 = Honorable Delegate

  • 2 = Distinct Delegate

Points from Ad Hoc General Assembly, Ad Hoc Crisis, and non-traditional crisis (7 Warring Kingdoms) will be worth 1.5x the normal amount.


TECH, PLAGIARISM, AI, AND PRE-WRITING POLICY

  1. Use of AI, plagiarism, pre-writing, & use of the internet during committee will not be tolerated and will result in ineligbility to receive an award.

  2. Writing must be authentic and will be run through AI and plagiarism checks at the discretion of the committee chairs. 

  3. No technology (phones, laptops) may be used during committee unless otherwise instructed by the chair(s).

    Committees that will allow the use of laptops to write papers will include:

    • Ad-Hoc General Assembly

    • International Organization For Migration

    • GA+ committees, at the discretion of the Dias

All academic integrity guidelines approved by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will apply to ALL delegates. It is the responsibility of the delegation to be familiar with these integrity guidelines.
