MEET THE SECRETARIAT
Secretary-General
Violet is a sophomore studying chemistry and Spanish, occasionally dabbling in studio art. When she isn’t studying for a ‘sweet treat’, Violet fuels her cat–obsession by working at the local cat cafe. New to the American MUN circuit, Violet grew up in various cities across Europe and competed in MUN at both the secondary and collegiate levels. Although Violet enjoyed her time abroad and now her newfound identity crisis in saying ‘where she is from’, she is happy to be in the U.S. and would not trade the classic Chic–fil–a sandwich for the world.
Director-General of Internal Affairs
Hailing from everywhere (as he has lived in 8 states across Mexico and the US,) Adolfo is a Junior studying Advertising and Public Relations. He joined Model UN 9 years ago after his 7th-grade professor offered him extra credit for doing so, and ever since, he has been part of almost 50 conferences across 4 regions. He previously served as Secretary-General for UNCMUNC XIV (and does not let any of his friends forget about it) as he believes in and defends the power of Model UN to transform lives and build communities beyond being a debate platform. He is incredibly excited to advise Violet as she continues to grow flowers in the grounds he worked hard to build.
Director-General of External Affairs
Brenner is a senior from Wilson, North Carolina studying Peace, War, and Defense and Contemporary European Studies to prepare for an intended career in the transatlantic security space. Taking interest in the contemporary political and social issues confronting the EU at these challenging times, especially AfD support in Germany, Brenner is applying for the Transatlantic Masters Program at UNC-CH this semester. In his free time, Brenner practices his German language skills, which he studies as a minor, camps across the great state of North Carolina, samples craft beer, and works for customers from his high school landscaping business.
Director of Delegate Affairs
Megan is a junior studying Public Policy & Global Studies with a minor in Studio Arts. She has been involved in Model UN since her first semester here at UNC and has loved it ever since. In her free time, she enjoys painting cute things, going to concerts, having picnics with her friends, and playing volleyball. Outside of MUN, Megan is a Program Assistant for the Carolina Asia Center where she works to spread cultural awareness and diversity through workshops and various events. Megan is excited to be a part of planning UNCMUNC for the second year in a row and can’t wait to see what the incoming delegates do at UNCMUNC XV.
USG of Assemblies (GA & GA+)
Amanda is a sophomore from Nairobi, Kenya, majoring in Economics with a double minor in Dramatic Art and Mathematics. She fell in love with Kenyan MUN in the 7th grade, and has not stopped participating since, from organizing international conferences to CIRA’s accessibility-oriented branch, moMUNtum. When she’s not in a theater production or sweating on a volleyball court, you’ll find her dancing to any music she can get her hands on! Her favorite pastimes include writing incoherent poetry, doing anything at the beach, and having picnics with her friends. She could not be more excited to contribute to UNCMUNC XV, and cannot wait to be enriched and inspired by conference delegates.
USG of Joint Crisis Committees
Maggie is a junior majoring in Business Administration and Public Policy. She started participating in Model UN during her freshman year of high school. Since then, she has competed in many different GAs and crisis-style committees. As a UNC student, she has served as both a Chair and Crisis Director for conferences hosted on campus. Maggie is very excited about UNCMUNC XV and looking forward to making this the best one yet!

Eileen is a junior from Clayton, NC, studying Public Policy and Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS). She has been involved in Model UN since her sophomore year and has been a senior staff in UNCMUNC and a senior staffer in MUNCH. When Eileen is not writing a policy brief at the last minute or doing something Model UN related, you are more than likely to find her hanging out with friends, watching basketball, baseball, and/or football. She is also developing a love for volleyball, pickleball, and constantly trying to beat her NYT level-easy Sudoku (2 minutes and 5 seconds). Eileen is very excited to work on UNCMUNC XV and make it a memorable experience for everyone who attends!
USG of Crisis
Paloma is an international student from Mexico in her sophomore year. She is studying Political Science with minors in French and Data Science. Paloma’s interest in International Relations and Political Science was sparked by living in different places throughout her childhood, such as Mexico City, Belgium, and a small town in New Jersey. She is so excited to form a part of the collegiate circuit as a member of UNCMUNC’s Secretariat. Apart from MUN, Paloma enjoys crocheting, reading thrillers, and oat milk lattes (which in her opinion, can be best enjoyed at Epilogue on Franklin Street).

She looks forward to working and cultivating an extraordinary UNCMUNC XV!

He is also involved with the campus organization moMUNtum, which focuses on making Model UN more accessible, equitable, and impactful. When he is not studying, Thomas loves to play sports around campus and go backpacking in the Appalachian mountains. Although he has never been out of the country, he is hoping to leave the United States this summer. He is excited to make this conference memorable for everyone involved!
Chief of Staff
Garrett is a junior majoring in Political Science and Public Policy. Garrett began his journey with Model UN in his first year at UNC as a logistics member of the UNCMUNC XIV Secretariat and has since dove into the MUN scene, staffing UNC’s high school conference and traveling to conferences with a team that has painstakingly watched him learn to develop background arcs. Outside of MUN, Garrett serves as the Managing Print Editor of Carolina’s undergraduate law journal and works with multiple branches of UNC’s Undergraduate Student Government through which he hopes to advance rural and non-traditional student involvement in life at Carolina. In his free time, Garrett is attempting to teach himself to play the guitar and enjoys reading.

She loves everything music, fun, and adventure and is looking forward to a great iteration of UNCMUNC this November!
Director of Communications and Design
Nilin is a junior majoring in Journalism with a minor in Chinese and Studio Arts. Her journey with UNCMUNC began last year when she realized how fun it was to meet new people from all over the country at MUN. When not focusing on schoolwork, she might be doodling, finding new recipes to try, hanging out with friends, creating graphics for UNC’s CUAB, or browsing inspiration for her next set of nails. She is looking forward to making this conference fun for everyone!
Chief Financial Officer
Kavita is a sophomore from Jaipur, India, majoring in Business Administration and Computer Science. She has been involved with MUN since high school, where she's been both organizing and participating in conferences across India.
